Proven in Kadina: Why Predator Tyres Earned a Spot in This Trusted Workshop

Daniel Morris has spent 25 years fitting tyres and a year and a half at Goodyear Auto Care Kadina, a workshop that’s been part of the local community for over three decades. He knows what lasts and what locals expect. “One day you’re fitting tyres for a farmer, next it’s a tradie needing something tough for work, or a local family who wants a safe and quiet ride,” he says. “It’s always changing. That’s what keeps it interesting.”

What hasn’t changed is how business is done. “You’ve got to spend time with people. Everyone knows you can’t fake it in the country. If you recommend something, it has to work.”

Daniel had grown the business on long-term relationships with farmers, tradies, and locals. If he was going to put something on their vehicles, it had to earn its place, but he always felt there was a bit of gap in what he currently offered.

“I’ve been doing this long enough to see how much the industry’s changed,” he says. “A lot of the bigger brands now, they’re just going off the name. I wanted something new, something I could stand behind. That’s why I gave Predator a go.”

The confidence in the tyres came early.

“We had a local farmer — one of those really cautious guys. Doesn’t like road noise, really particular about wet weather grip. He came back the next day saying how good they were”.

The feedback kept coming. Quiet on bitumen, solid off-road, and the kind of all-around performance that suited Kadina’s diverse drivers, from retirees towing caravans to young 4×4 owners after a more aggressive look.

It’s not just grip and noise that stood out to Daniel, workshop performance with no balancing issues has impressed him too. “We started offering a free 10,000km rotation on every set, which grew to free rotation for the life — that was something we only did for Goodyear before. Now we’re doing it for Predator too. That’s how confident we are.”

(Assistant Manager Blakes Colorado)

The tyres aren’t just leaving the shop on customer vehicles, they’re on staff cars too. “Our assistant manager Blake, he got a Colorado and straight away fitted it with Predators. My tyre fitter’s putting a set on his wife’s car. They’ve performed, and the team knows it.”

And for some customers, Predator Tyres has already replaced their old go-to brands. “There was a guy running Maxxis Razrs on his Ranger. Loved them — but couldn’t get the size he needed, so we put him onto Predator. He came back and said it was way better than the Maxxis, and liked them so much that he went and put a set on his wife’s Prado.”

Daniel’s not in the business of hyping products. In his words: “I’ve tried a lot of brands over the years. Some good, some not so much. Predator’s worth it. It’s as simple as that.”

And in a town like Kadina, where word of mouth matters more than marketing, that verdict holds weight.

“Predator Tyres earned their spot at my store.”

His advice to other dealers is simple: “if you’re willing to give people a go, do the same with your tyres — and if you haven’t tried Predator yet, now’s the time.”
